Zellerhoff Construction was started in 1984 by Frank Zellerhoff Sr.. When the company began much of the work that Frank Sr. did was decks, retaining walls, concrete, site prep such as clearing, excavation and runners/foundations for homes. This work evolved as they found their niche to become the work scope that the company performs today, such as septic repair and installation, water line maintenance and exploration, clearing and land work, etc.

In 1987, Frank Jr. joined his father at Zellerhoff Construction where the two worked together for 20+ years. Originally commuting to the island, Frank Jr. and his wife Colleen became full-time residents in Dockton in the ‘90’s. Frank Sr. officially retired in 2010, though he was often still seen at the shop fixing this or running for that. Frank Jr. has continued the legacy and is preparing to pass his knowledge on to his nephew in-law, Evan Hills.

Evan Hills joined the family company in 2024, Evan is a born and raised islander. Evan is excited to take his own knowledge, experience and tutelage from Frank Jr. and Frank Sr. and establish Zellerhoff Construction as the first and only call you will need to make for your land development and septic needs.
